A true martyr … after returning from meccah malcolm knew what true islam is all about and how the west governments oppose any muslim uprisings..Hope he was here now to see how in this era muslims are being treated …mercy be upon his soul .
I used to think that Martin Luther King was a wet, a sell out and a traitor to boot!!
But I have to come to realise, through discussions/readings, that he wanted to unite with white and all working class people-as he recognised what oppression was doing to us all. It was about rule and divide, the common issue people had was their class, and how even this was a way of keeping us down, divided, and mistrustful of each other through stereotypes etc.
Malcolm X I think also had similar ideas towards the end of his life and for that reason him and Martin Luther king were assassinated. They also both sought to and created their own groupings away from mainstream Muslim and Christian spheres, this was seen as a threat by the establishment.
