Very interesting documentary. Why did the Ottoman Empire fail anyway? Anybody know?

weak leadership,corruption,complacency and failure to modernise caused the fall of the ottoman empire.
it lasted that long simply because the differing western powers couldnt decide on how and whom should fill the power vacuum.
the british especially wanted the ottoman to be a buffer against czarist russia.

yea the ottoman empire fell after ww1 it was part of the central powers

Interesting. It picks up about halfway through. Shows how Constantinople became Istanbul. Also interesting that this established the widespread use of artillery in combat from then on.

they have been failed in the first world war with the german and austrian and russian empire
their country has been devied into 30 contry country
one of the reason for their failur was for the arab rebls

It was not ww1 that ended the ottoman empire as it was by this time all ready known as the “sick man of europe” and was on its way out for a longtime before that.

The empire fell 500 years later which was the longest running and the most recent empire in the world.
Turkey is and will always be a feared country and that is why there is all this hatred. Jealousy and fear will get you no where
