This is a great documentary! I do not believe that it’s propaganda. We are not to forget that the Russians helped Europe in a great way ending the war. Yet we have to be well-aware of the horrific things that happened under the leadership of Stalin. But I do not think that you can compear Stalin and Hitler. Not at all.

Hey RFC, do you remember that Britain also had a deal with Hitler and gave him Czechoslovakia? Or do you remember that the part of Poland the Soviets moved into had been part of Ukraine and Byelorussia? And do you remember that the soviets gave Poland land to replace the area they re-occupied?

This isn’t a documentary, it’s propaganda used by Western media at the time to paint a nice picture of Stalin and the USSR.
Stalin’s regime was horrific, equally as terrible as the Nazis.
What is so often forgotten is the Non-Agression Pact between Stalin and Hitler in August of 1939 in which the USSR’s invasion of Poland the following month was also discussed.
This is piece of film is only informative is approached from the perspective of seeing it as pure propaganda in favour of the Westerner’s new Ally.
I hope no one for one moment assumes that Stalin’s regime at any point constituted goodness, nor anything that was less markedly evil as that of the Nazis.

It is an amazing documentary.Every moment spend is worth it.At least we get the other version of the story.Russians have fought well for their rights,but they where no different from Nazi’s towards the end.They too conquered many countries including Afghanistan and ended up exactly the same why as Germans ended in Russia.
Moral of the story live and let live,let there be peace.

FANTASTIC video well worth the time to watch even though alot tof the Russian footage were recreations or taken form old russian war movies
example : when the 2 Russian armies met and hugged each other its documented that that was a recreation but still that segment was placed perfecctly in the video keep up the good work
oh and im suprised that you left out the speach that stalin gave from the podium even though it was a retake it was done in winter time yet theres no steam as he speaks it was later admited that it was a retake only because there was a bit of confusion as to the time of the speach and the russian news people were not granted or didi not have the proper papers to attened the speach so stalin agreed to redo it at a later date a few months later when it was spring and stagedin a recording studio

but still a great video keep up the fantastic work
